Shooting Team At LCHS Trap Shoot Results
April 26th, LCHS Shooting Team attended their third Trap Shoot of the season on April 26th at Big Springs Shooting Complex in Christiana Tennessee.
The Varsity #1 Squad placed 5th out of 22 schools with a team score of 462 out of a possible 500. Individual scores: Bobby Benson (96/100), Ben Theet (96), Austin Moore (93), Logan Cowheard (90), and Rhett Yates (87). Varsity #2 secured the 8th position with a 450 – Connor Walters (97), Grant Counce (93), Ethan Wallace (87), Jackson Woods (87), and Tanner Clack (86). Varsity #3 placed 16th with a 408.
Individual honors were given to Bobby Benson for shooting 50 Straight clays without a miss, and Austin Moore, Ben Threet, and Connor Walters all received their 25 Straight Patches.
In Junior Varsity action, LCHS placed 3rd with a 429. JR Varsity individual scores: JC Mills (92), Jacob Bradley (90), Sam Brown (89), Travis Mayfield (81), and Brown Boyd (77).
LCHS also received the following awards from the last shoot at Big Springs on April 5th: In the C Class Individual category, Austin Moore’s score of 94 was good enough to take 3rd place.
In the D class Individual, Tanner Clark’s 93 took 2nd place. In Sub-Junior category, Logan Cowheard’s 98 put him in 1st place. In the Junior D division LCHS Varsity #3 Squad was Runner Up in team competition with a 440.
